(14) Assessing Library Instruction for Military Students
Limited Capacity seats available

A team of librarians from Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) participated in the last cohort of the Association of College and Research Libraries initiative "Assessment in Action: Academic Libraries and Student Success." The HPU team focused on assessing writing courses offered through the Military Campus Programs. The study assessed the impact of library instruction delivered in both face-to-face and hybrid courses at military bases by using varied methods. The lessons learned by participating in the project reflect the unexpected flow of assessment projects – from designing outcomes, selecting measurement tools, analyzing data, and implementing changes.

Limited Capacity seats available

This presentation details the results of a survey of Mānoa undergraduates in Spring 2016, and attempts to answer questions such as: How much do they watch video and in what formats? What percentage have access to various commercial video streaming services? How much do they use the library’s video resources? The answers to these questions could have a great effect on library collection development and future planning.
